We welcome young leaders and other stakeholders in youth development to be part of our work in equalizing youth participation in leadership.

  • Profiling:

    exposing, amplifying, growing and strengthening our young leaders’ brands through out our various communication platforms and media outlets

  • Mentorship:

    providing for intergenerational linkage and take over of leadership by our young leaders through mentor pairing, valuable for sustainable national leadership development

  • Opportunities:

    connecting our young leaders to trainings, capacity strengthening and resource mobilization; giving them first consideration on our call for applications, trainings, employment opportunities and other activities

  • Networking:

    connecting our young leaders to other like-minded young people, providing a platform for dialogue and exchange of values, ideas and other opportunities

  • Collaboration:

    co-host and co-ordinate with partner organizations along with our young leaders on funding applications, proposal writing, job opportunities and other events and activities

  • Information:

    provide our young leaders regular news, updates and information on youth leadership and development, including reports, articles, studies and press releases

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

Full Members:

  • Young people belonging to CYLA Member Political Parties (MMD, UPND, PF, ADD, NAREP, UNIP, Green Party, and FDD) who have undergone CYLA-accepted or certified training, including:

  • CYLA Leadership Trainings

  • Program for Young Politicians in Africa (PYPA) and Other Leadership Trainings Certified by the CYLA Board to be in tandem with CYLA Leadership Values

  • Membership Fee: K25 (once-off)

  • Subscription Fee: K10 (per Month) or K120 (per Year)

Associate Members:

  • Young people Belonging to Non-CYLA Member political parties that subscribe to and approve of CYLA Values and Code of Conduct

  • Young Politicians who may not belong to any political party that approves of CYLA Values and Code of Conduct

  • Youth Political Organizations that approve of CYLA Values and Code of Conduct

  • Membership Fee: K20 (once-off)

  • Subscription Fee: K5 Per Month or K60 Per Year

Honorary Members:

  • Former full or associate CYLA Members that are above 35 (No Longer considered young or young by AU definition)

  • Former Full CYLA Members who are still young or youth that have left a CYLA Member Political Party that they applied under

  • Secretary Generals of CYLA Member Political Parties and Organizations

  • Honorary Membership Contribution: K50

*All of the above membership plans are on a yearly basis.
